My clients through work are elderly and/or disabled. Many of them have ramps so they can get in and out of their homes. Without the ramp they would be stuck inside unless someone comes to help them out.
There are times in our lives when we all need some help. Usually we can call on family, friends, or our church to give assistance. But sometimes there is nothing other people can do to help us. We may be grieving, or depressed, or anxious. There are so many things we can be going through that family and friends just can’t help us with. Who can we turn to?
“With him (Sennacherib) is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” (2 Chronicles 32:8a) Jerusalem was being threatened by the strong army from Assyria, but Hezekiah, King of Judah, put his trust in God and knew the help they needed would come from Him.
Do you have that same trust in God? When the situation seems impossible and no human being can help you what do you do? My hope for you is that you will turn to God, trust Him, and receive the help He can and will provide.
