We give recognition to people, including leaders, who do a good job. We remember great leaders like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, FDR, and so on. We recognize outstanding leaders of local and national organizations. Good leaders deserve recognition and praise for what they do. However, there is a great leader who does not always get the respect, honor, and praise He deserves. He is Jesus Christ. When He was on earth He was rejected, even in Nazareth. He said, “I tell you the truth, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.” (Luke 4:24). In the world today Jesus still gets pushed out of the way. We give other things higher priority. There has never been, is not now, nor will ever be a leader greater than Jesus Christ. Are you giving Him the recognition, respect, honor, and praise He deserves? If not, maybe it’s time you do.
